In a landmark achievement for Kenya, the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has been selected to host the inaugural World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit in June 2025. This announcement was made by Mr. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Chair of the WCF, on July 26, 2024.
The decision marks a historic moment as it will be the first time the WCF Africa Summit is held on the continent. The choice of Nairobi, Kenya, follows a competitive bidding process, highlighting the strength and dedication of KNCCI and its partners. The Summit is set to draw over 4,500 participants from more than 70 countries, including key stakeholders from various sectors.
The Summit aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators, with a focus on advancing economic growth and investment across Africa. It also represents a significant opportunity for Kenya to enhance its reputation as a leading regional hub and a key player in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The event is expected to boost Kenya's tourism and hospitality sectors while creating new trade and partnership opportunities. KNCCI has pledged to work closely with the government, private sector, and international partners to ensure the Summit's success and to address pressing issues in the business sector.
KNCCI expressed gratitude to the WCF for the honor and to all partners involved in making this milestone possible. The organization looks forward to delivering a successful and impactful Summit that will leave a lasting impression on the global business community.
