ELITE BRANDS AWARDS INTERNATIONAL TO BE HELD IN KENYA, RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE ACROSS AFRICA.

The prestigious Elite Brands Awards International is set to take place in Kenya on December 13, 2024, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi. This highly anticipated event will bring together Kenyan businesses and individuals alongside top global companies, all gathered to celebrate industry leaders who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to quality, innovation, and social responsibility.

Organized by Jubilant Stewards of Africa, the Elite Brands Awards aim to honor firms and individuals who not only excel in their industries but also go above and beyond to serve humanity. The awards, which are based on the Organizational Performance Index (OPI), focus on processes, systems, and the ethical practices that guide companies toward making a positive impact on society. This year’s event is expected to feature at least 100 companies from 18 African nations, all vying for recognition in various sectors.


During a press briefing, Jared Oundo, Executive Director of Jubilant Stewards of Africa, emphasized the significance of the awards in celebrating those who strive to uphold the highest standards of excellence. The nominees for the 2024 awards include a diverse range of companies from across multiple sectors, such as Ena Coach, Trinity Rwanda, Mwananchi Credit, Hi-Tech Ink & Coating, Consolata Hospital Mathari, and Pathcare Kenya, among others. Other notable nominees include leading educational institutions like Kenyatta University and the University of Nairobi, as well as companies in the telecommunications, healthcare, and technology sectors.


Dennis Mombo, CEO of Mwananchi Credit, expressed his pride upon receiving the nomination, calling it a testament to the company's commitment to quality and innovation. GENERAL PETROLEUM GMBH FACES CRIMINAL Charges OVER FAKE GM CERTIFICATION AND SUBSTANDARD OIL PRODUCTS.

June 13, 2025  General Petroleum GMBH is under intense legal scrutiny after being accused of fraudulently misrepresenting itself as a Dexos-approved supplier of motor oil — a certification standard owned by General Motors (GM) . The scandal has triggered criminal charges, a growing class action lawsuit, and a major reputational blow to the company. Investigations reveal that the company falsely claimed its products were certified by GM , using that claim to market and sell inferior oil products to unsuspecting consumers.
