Nairobi, Kenya – The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) is set to host the Magical Kenya Medical Tourism Forum, a strategic event aimed at positioning Kenya as a leading destination for inbound medical tourism in Africa. The half-day forum will bring together key players from the healthcare, hospitality, and travel sectors to refine Kenya’s approach to medical tourism.

With the growing demand for specialized medical services across Africa, Kenya is leveraging its advanced healthcare facilities, skilled medical professionals, and well-developed tourism infrastructure to attract international patients. The forum will serve as a platform for hospitals, medical specialists, government representatives, and industry stakeholders to discuss opportunities for collaboration and investment in the sector.

"KTB is committed to marketing Kenya as a year-round destination for diverse, sustainable, and authentic tourism experiences. This includes positioning the country as a hub for high-quality medical services," the board stated in its announcement.

Medical tourism has been identified as a key area for economic diversification, with Kenya already drawing patients from neighboring countries such as Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan. The forum aims to enhance this growth by strengthening partnerships and developing a comprehensive national strategy to attract more medical tourists.

Stakeholders and organizations looking to expand their medical services are encouraged to participate, contributing to the broader vision of making Kenya a preferred healthcare destination in Africa.

With this initiative, Kenya is set to tap into the multi-billion-dollar global medical tourism industry, further boosting its healthcare sector and overall economy.
