RSF ACCUSES SUDANESE ARMED FORCES AND JOINT FORCE OF ORCHESTRATING FAKE ATROCITY VIDEO IN DISINFORMATION CAMPAIGN.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have issued a scathing condemnation of what they describe as a "disturbing disinformation campaign" orchestrated by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the so-called 'Joint Force' under the supervision of Minni Arko Minawi. In a strongly worded media statement released on Friday, the RSF alleges that a recently circulated video showing alleged atrocities committed by their forces is a staged fabrication designed to manipulate public opinion and tarnish their image.

According to the RSF, the video in question was produced inside the Zamzam displacement camp, which they claim has been converted into a military base by mercenary groups aligned with the SAF. The footage, which has been widely shared among activists and local media outlets, reportedly depicts scenes of violations committed by RSF forces. However, the RSF insists that the footage was orchestrated using civilian actors, with visible evidence of staging including camera crews, directors, and participants receiving cues during filming.

"The result is a poorly executed dramatic display, clearly intended to manipulate Sudanese emotions and manufacture false popular sympathy," the RSF stated, citing instances where women failed to convincingly portray the deceased and required multiple takes to complete their scenes.

The RSF further criticized the use of displacement camps as filming locations for what they described as political theatre, warning that such tactics not only distort the truth but also endanger civilian populations by militarizing humanitarian spaces.

“These systematic campaigns—devoid of evidence or any objective foundation—serve only to divert attention from the real crimes being perpetrated against the Sudanese people,” the statement read. It also accused certain satellite news channels of amplifying the alleged fabrications in alignment with what it termed the "agenda of the Islamic terrorist movement."

The RSF reaffirmed its commitment to protecting civilians and upholding international humanitarian law, calling on local and international stakeholders to independently investigate the incident and refrain from endorsing what it called “biased narratives driven by tendentious agendas.”

This latest exchange underscores the deepening propaganda war between Sudan’s warring factions, as both sides continue to battle for legitimacy and control amid a protracted and deadly conflict that has displaced millions and devastated the nation’s infrastructure.

The RSF concluded its statement by vowing to continue its campaign to dismantle the ruling junta, describing the alleged disinformation efforts as “cheap campaigns” that would not deter them from their objectives.
