The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have announced a significant military triumph in White Nile State, claiming full control of the strategic area of Al-Halba, near the city of Al-Duwaym, after defeating forces affiliated with the Sudanese army and the Islamist movement.
In a statement issued Thursday, RSF spokespersons said their fighters destroyed an entire enemy convoy during what they described as a “heroic battle,” dealing heavy losses in both personnel and equipment. The RSF reported that it seized 23 military vehicles, multiple drones, artillery pieces — including two C5 cannons — and large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment.
“The remaining enemy forces were forced to flee,” the statement read, hailing the battle as a milestone in the RSF’s campaign to expand operations in strategic zones across White Nile and the Omdurman axis.
The RSF labeled the victory as a crucial step in its broader mission to dismantle what it called the “terrorist Daesh regime” and to usher in a new chapter in Sudan’s history centered on peace, justice, and democracy.
The announcement is the latest in a series of RSF-reported military gains as the group continues its campaign against the Sudanese Armed Forces and allied Islamist factions amid the ongoing civil conflict that erupted in April 2023.
The statement concluded with tributes to fallen RSF fighters and reiterated its revolutionary messaging under the slogans #Battle_for_Democracy and #Guardians_of_the_Glorious_Revolution.
