April 11, 2025 – North Darfur, Sudan

The Sudan Founding Coalition Forces have announced the successful evacuation of more than 8,500 families from El Fasher and nearby camps in North Darfur, as security and humanitarian conditions in the region continue to deteriorate.

In a press statement issued today, the coalition – which includes the Rapid Support Forces, the Sudan Liberation Movement-Transitional Council, and the Sudan Liberation Forces Assembly – confirmed that evacuations have been underway over the past six days. Civilians have been relocated to safer areas including Tawila, Korma, and several surrounding villages.

The coalition stated that the evacuations are continuing at an increasing pace, with more displaced individuals arriving daily at designated reception and shelter sites. Efforts are also being made to provide essential needs such as clean drinking water and food to the evacuees.

Reaffirming its national and humanitarian responsibilities, the coalition called on all concerned parties to support its efforts to protect civilians and keep them away from areas of military conflict.

The Sudan Founding Coalition Forces emphasized their unwavering commitment to safeguarding civilians and pledged to work alongside the people of Sudan to rebuild the nation on a foundation of justice and protection of fundamental rights.
