Laikipia & Samburu Counties, Kenya – July 9, 2025 – Kichaka Patrol, an East Africa-based Community-Based Organization (CBO) known for blending adventure with humanitarian action, has once again demonstrated its impact through a multi-sectoral outreach across remote parts of Laikipia and Samburu Counties.

Between June 26 and 28, 2025, the group—comprised of over 400 off-road Nissan Patrol enthusiasts—joined forces with the Kenya Nurses in Diaspora, Operation Blessing, the County Government of Laikipia, the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA Kenya), the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), and Ridgeways Baptist Church to deliver crucial services to marginalized communities in Rumuruti, Suguta Marmar, Tuum, Baragoi, Logorate, and Naibor.

Mobile Medical Camps Bring Healing to the Forgotten

The outreach featured fully operational medical camps in Rumuruti and Suguta Marmar, providing hundreds of residents with free health consultations, basic treatments, and essential health education. The Kenya Nurses in Diaspora and Operation Blessing played a pivotal role in delivering professional medical care to areas where healthcare services are sparse or non-existent.

Helmets for Safety, Hope for Riders

In a strong push for road safety, over 100 helmets were distributed to bodaboda riders in Logorate, Naibor, Baragoi, Tuum, and Rumuruti. The initiative, backed by AA Kenya and NTSA, also included on-the-spot registration and logbook services to promote legal compliance and operational safety in the vital motorcycle transport sector.

Supporting Girls' Education with Dignity

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by girls in rural schools, Kichaka Patrol also delivered sanitary pads to female students at Naibor Amani Primary School, Logorate Comprehensive School, and Nachola Primary School. The distribution of books and learning materials further emphasized the group’s dedication to education and empowerment in under-resourced areas.

“We believe that adventure should serve a purpose,” said a Kichaka Patrol spokesperson. “Our mission is to go where few are willing, bringing not just supplies—but dignity, care, and lasting impact.”

As they continue navigating rough terrain to reach the unreached, Kichaka Patrol is proving that compassion, collaboration, and a few 4x4s can truly change lives.
