The Dawoodi Bohra community has concluded a successful three-day Africa Trade Expo 2025 in Nairobi, drawing entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders from across the globe to explore East Africa’s fast-rising economic opportunities.
The event brought together 225 exhibitors from eight sectors — including real estate, manufacturing, technology, and tourism — with a shared goal of inspiring business innovation and strengthening cross-border trade.
Speaking at the expo, Shabbir Nomani, Chairman of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Nairobi, underscored the importance of fair business practices and collective growth. “East Africa’s youthful population and expanding markets present immense opportunities for shared prosperity,” he noted.
The Dawoodi Bohra community, which has a deep-rooted history of commerce in the region, has long championed job creation, skills development, and entrepreneurship. The expo also highlighted the vital trade ties between Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, reinforcing the East African bloc as a hub for regional economic cooperation.
Attendees participated in product showcases, networking sessions, panel discussions, and business deal signings, creating a fertile ground for partnerships that could drive long-term growth.
Organizers hailed the event as a milestone in positioning East Africa as a competitive player in global trade, while offering a launchpad for entrepreneurs seeking to tap into new markets both within and beyond the continent.
