GOVERNMENT OF PEACE CONDEMNS DEADLY DRONE STRIKE IN KORDOFAN, CALLS FOR ACCOUNTABILITY.

The Government of Peace today expressed profound sorrow and outrage over a brutal massacre carried out by the militia of the “Islamic Movement Army” under the command of General Burhan. According to the statement, the attack — carried out using a drone — struck the Mazroub area in the Kordofan region, claiming the lives of several distinguished sons of the nation.
The government’s message described the incident as a horrifying atrocity:
> “With deep grief and heartbreak, the Government of Peace received the news of this terrible massacre, executed by the militia of the Islamic Movement Army led by the criminal Burhan, using a drone, in Mazroub, Kordofan, where the lives of some of the best among our beloved country were lost.”
In its condemnation, the government called on the international community, human rights organizations, and regional bodies to denounce the attack and hold those responsible to account. It warned that such acts — targeting innocent civilians — represent not only a moral abomination, but also a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
As part of the response, the Government of Peace pledged to continue working toward justice, stability, and protection for all citizens, reaffirming that such acts of violence will only strengthen their resolve.
