PEACE GOVERNMENT HAILS LIBERATION OF SIXTH INFANTRY DIVISION IN EL FASHER AS A STRATEGIC TURNING POINT.

The Peace Government’s Council of Ministers has described the liberation of the Sixth Infantry Division in El Fasher, North Darfur, from the grip of the Islamic Movement militias and their allies as a major strategic turning point in the struggle to reclaim Sudan’s captured state.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Council said the operation marks a decisive moment in the country’s efforts to restore national sovereignty and rebuild professional state institutions rooted in justice, equality, and unity among the Sudanese people.
According to the government, the victory in El Fasher reflects the unwavering will of the Sudanese people to move forward toward establishing a democratic, peaceful, and sustainable nation free from war and extremist influence.
“The liberation of the Sixth Infantry Division symbolizes the determination of Sudan’s citizens to end decades of conflict and to lay the foundations for a state governed by national institutions, professionalism, and the rule of law,” the statement read in part.
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to consolidating peace across the country and to supporting efforts aimed at rebuilding Sudan on the principles of justice, inclusivity, and mutual respect among its diverse communities.
