RSF CONDUCTS LARGE-SCALE SWEEP OPERATIONS in EL-FASHER TO SECURE CITY AND PROTECT CIVILIANS.

Khartoum, October 27, 2025.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have announced the launch of extensive combing and security operations across the city of El-Fasher, aimed at rooting out the last remaining pockets of armed resistance following what the group describes as the city’s “liberation” from the control of the terrorist Islamic Movement’s army and allied mercenary militias.
In a media statement issued on Monday, the RSF said its troops have deployed specialized military teams tasked with protecting civilians, securing public areas, and restoring order throughout the city. The operations come as remnants of the opposing forces reportedly attempt to flee El-Fasher.
The statement also detailed the deployment of engineering units to clear mines and unexploded ordnance, with the goal of paving the way for the return of normal life and the eventual handover of security duties to the Federal Police. Once full stability is achieved, the RSF said, markets, hospitals, and essential services will reopen.
Reaffirming its commitment to international humanitarian law, the RSF emphasized that it will continue to protect civilians and treat prisoners of war (POWs) with dignity, in line with the Geneva Conventions and directives from its leadership.
“The liberation of El-Fasher marks a historic milestone in the Sudanese people’s struggle against tyranny and terrorism,” the RSF declared, describing the victory as a step toward ending “an era of injustice and corruption” that has persisted for more than three decades.
The statement concluded by asserting that the ongoing operations in El-Fasher demonstrate the RSF’s determination to secure peace and stability across Sudan, while upholding its stated principles of freedom, justice, and respect for human rights.
