Khartoum, Sudan.
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced that it has provided humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) from El Fasher in North Darfur, following directives from the force’s Deputy Commander.
In a statement released through its official media channels, the RSF said teams had visited several displacement sites to assess living conditions and deliver essential aid to affected families. The initiative, it added, was part of the group’s efforts to ensure the welfare of civilians affected by the recent conflict.
While the RSF did not specify the scale or nature of the assistance provided, it said the operation reflected its commitment to addressing the humanitarian needs of people displaced from El Fasher.
The move comes amid worsening conditions in Darfur, where thousands have fled recent fighting. Humanitarian agencies have warned of growing shortages of food, medicine, and shelter among displaced populations.
Analysts view the RSF’s outreach as both a relief measure and a strategic move to project a positive image amid ongoing conflict and international scrutiny.
The statement concluded with hashtags “#Battle_for_Democracy” and “#Guardians_of_the_Revival,” underscoring the RSF’s broader narrative of linking its military and humanitarian efforts to what it calls a national liberation struggle.
