RSF FULFILLS PROMISE TO RETURN SURRENDERED SOLDIERS IN El FASHER TO THEIR FAMILIES.

El Fasher, Sudan – October 22, 2025.

In a humanitarian gesture aimed at fostering reconciliation and unity, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has honored its commitment to safely hand over surrendered soldiers in El Fasher to their families. The initiative was spearheaded by the RSF’s Deputy Commander, who emphasized the importance of humane treatment and respect for all Sudanese citizens, including former combatants.
According to the RSF statement, the move comes as part of ongoing efforts to consolidate peace and stability in North Darfur, where recent battles had led to the surrender of several military personnel previously aligned with opposing forces. The RSF described the handover as a “national duty rooted in the principles of justice, mercy, and unity.”

Family members and community elders reportedly welcomed the initiative, expressing appreciation for the RSF’s commitment to reconciliation and the protection of human rights. The RSF reaffirmed that it remains open to all Sudanese who choose the path of peace and called on others still engaged in fighting to lay down their arms in the interest of national harmony.

The development marks another significant step in what the RSF calls “The Battle for Democracy” and its continued efforts to protect civilians and rebuild trust across conflict-affected communities in Sudan.
