RSF-ALIGNED GROUP SAYS IT IS READY TO FACILITATE UN HUMANITARIAN OPERATIONS IN DARFUR AND KORDOFAN.

El Fasher, Sudan — December 27, 2025.

A group aligned with Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF), operating under the name Founding Forces, announced its readiness to cooperate with the United Nations and international humanitarian organizations to facilitate relief operations in the Darfur and Kordofan regions.
In a statement released on Friday, the group said it is prepared to provide security and logistical support to ensure that humanitarian agencies can carry out their work safely and efficiently, enabling aid to reach vulnerable populations in areas affected by ongoing conflict.

The announcement followed what the group described as a successful field visit by a high-level United Nations delegation from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the UN Department of Safety and Security (UNDSS) to the city of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur State.
According to the statement, the UN delegation assessed conditions faced by internally displaced persons (IDPs), reviewed humanitarian needs, and evaluated the level of services being provided. Delegation members also reportedly held direct discussions with displaced civilians inside shelters.

The visit included inspections of multiple displacement sites, UN offices, and key facilities in El Fasher, including the Zain Al-Abideen IDP Center, Sheikh Ahmed Hanfi Center, the Saudi Hospital, offices of the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, the World Food Programme (WFP), the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Amina bint Wahb Center, and the city’s central market.

The Founding Forces said the success of the visit was demonstrated by what it described as “tight and effective security measures” provided before, during, and after the delegation’s stay, allowing the team to complete its mission and travel safely to Tawila locality.

The group said the operation reflected its capacity to provide a secure environment for international organizations to operate without obstruction, and reiterated its commitment to continued coordination with humanitarian actors to ensure the uninterrupted flow of aid to those in need.
The statement concluded by emphasizing the group’s intention to work in what it described as a spirit of responsibility and partnership in support of humanitarian and relief efforts across Sudan.

There was no immediate independent verification of the claims, and the United Nations had not publicly commented on the statement at the time of publication.
