RSF CLAIMS FULL CONTROL OF KARNOI AREA IN NORTH DARFUR AFTER SWIFT MILITARY OPERATION.

Sudan’s paramilitary group, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has announced that it has taken full control of the Karnoi area in North Darfur following what it described as a swift and coordinated military operation targeting rival militias.
In a statement issued on Monday, the RSF said its forces secured the area after clashes with armed groups it claimed were allied with elements of the Islamic Movement, which the paramilitary group accuses of using the region as a base to threaten local security.
According to the statement, RSF fighters managed to push the opposing forces out of the area after inflicting heavy losses, forcing them to withdraw and enabling the paramilitary group to regain control of Karnoi and its surrounding areas in North Darfur, a region within western Sudan that has experienced prolonged instability.

The RSF said the operation forms part of its broader campaign aimed at restoring security and stability in the region and protecting civilian populations. The group also claimed that the move would help create safer conditions for residents to resume normal life after a period of tension and insecurity.

In its statement, the paramilitary force reassured residents of Karnoi and neighboring communities that their safety remains a top priority, adding that its troops are operating under directives to protect civilians, safeguard property, and prevent violations.
The RSF also called on residents to cooperate with its forces and adhere to temporary security measures put in place to stabilize the area and track down armed elements accused of destabilizing local security.

The statement concluded by reiterating the group’s commitment to restoring order across the Darfur region and advancing efforts to protect civilians and reinforce the rule of law.
The claims could not be independently verified, and there was no immediate response from the Sudanese Armed Forces regarding the reported developments.

PNU CONDEMNS KENYA KWANZA ’s MOVE TO WEAKEN FREE BASIC EDUCATION.
