Nairobi, March 2026.
The Coca-Cola Company has unveiled a new marketing campaign dubbed ‘Coke with Meals’, aimed at celebrating the role of shared meals in creating memorable everyday experiences for Kenyans.
The campaign, officially launched in Kenya this March, highlights how pairing meals with a chilled Coca-Cola can elevate ordinary dining moments into meaningful social experiences. From family dinners at home to casual street food outings and quick lunches between classes, the initiative positions meals as central to connection, culture, and daily celebration.
Speaking during the launch, Monique Katana, Director of Frontline Marketing at Coca-Cola, said the campaign taps into the emotional and cultural significance of food in bringing people together. She noted that ‘Coke with Meals’ is built around the concept of “A Recipe for Magic,” emphasizing how good food, shared spaces, and Coca-Cola combine to create memorable moments.
The campaign marks a strategic shift for the beverage giant, expanding its brand association beyond traditional celebrations such as holidays and major events to include everyday wins and routines. Whether it’s completing school assignments, landing a new job, or simply wrapping up daily chores, Coca-Cola is positioning itself as a companion for life’s small but meaningful milestones.
Implemented in partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), the campaign focuses on two primary dining settings: the home and the broader food scene. These include family tables where weekend meals foster connection, as well as Kenya’s vibrant culinary spaces—ranging from street vendors to restaurants and cafés—where communities gather and socialize.
Targeting primarily Gen Z consumers aged 18 to 25, the campaign adopts an urban-first approach while still resonating with millennials and families. Activations are set to roll out across major cities including Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru, reflecting the diversity of Kenya’s food culture.
Beyond advertising, ‘Coke with Meals’ is designed as a broader cultural engagement initiative. It will feature digital storytelling, collaborations with food content creators and chefs, and integrated media campaigns across radio, television, and social platforms. On-the-ground activations in local communities are also planned to bring the campaign directly to everyday dining spaces.
By embedding itself into daily meal occasions, Coca-Cola aims to strengthen its identity as a familiar and accessible presence in Kenyan households—transforming routine meals into moments worth celebrating.
The launch underscores Coca-Cola’s ongoing evolution as it adapts to changing consumer lifestyles while reinforcing its connection to culture, community, and shared experiences.
