LEADERS HONOURED AT PRESTIGIOUS HEROES AWARDS GALA HELD AT KICC.

Various leaders from across the country were on Friday evening honoured during the prestigious Heroes Awards Gala held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
The colourful event brought together political leaders, business executives, youth champions, community mobilisers, and distinguished guests in a celebration aimed at recognising individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to transforming society.

The awards ceremony recognised leaders from different sectors for their contribution to community development, youth empowerment, governance, innovation, and public service. Several county leaders, Members of County Assembly, entrepreneurs, and social change advocates walked away with honours during the glamorous night.
Speaking during the event, organisers of the Heroes Awards said the initiative seeks to celebrate individuals whose efforts continue to positively impact communities and inspire the next generation of leaders.

“This platform is about recognising heroes among us — people who continue to serve their communities with dedication, integrity, and vision,” one of the organisers stated during the ceremony.
Among those honoured was Nairobi West MCA Hon. Rex Omollo, who received recognition for his leadership and commitment to grassroots development and youth empowerment initiatives within Nairobi West Ward.

Guests at the event praised the awards for creating a platform that appreciates leaders and professionals whose work often goes unnoticed despite their contribution to national and community development.
The gala featured entertainment performances, networking sessions, and moments of recognition as award recipients dedicated their honours to the communities and people they serve.

The Heroes Awards continue to gain prominence as one of the platforms celebrating excellence, leadership, and impactful service across different sectors in Kenya.

PNU CONDEMNS KENYA KWANZA ’s MOVE TO WEAKEN FREE BASIC EDUCATION.

The Party of National Unity (PNU) has sharply criticized the Kenya Kwanza administration for slashing funding to free primary and secondary education in the 2025/26 national budget, warning that the move threatens to undo decades of progress and could become the regime’s political downfall. In a strongly worded statement released today, PNU condemned the government’s decision to reduce funding for Free Primary Education (FPE) from KES 9.1 billion to KES 7 billion, and Free Day Secondary Education from KES 61.9 billion to KES 51.9 billion.
