NAIROBI WEST MCA REX OMOLLO RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS HONOUR AT HEROES AWARDS GALA.

Leaders, professionals, and distinguished guests gathered at the iconic Kenyatta International Convention Centre on Friday evening for the prestigious Heroes Awards ceremony, where outstanding individuals from various sectors were recognized for their impact and service to society.
Among those honoured during the high-profile event was Rex Omollo, the Member of County Assembly for Nairobi West Ward, who received an award in recognition of his leadership, community service, and contribution to development initiatives within Nairobi West and beyond.

The colourful ceremony brought together political leaders, youth representatives, business figures, and members of the public to celebrate individuals who have demonstrated dedication in transforming their communities through leadership, empowerment, and social initiatives.
Speaking after receiving the award, Hon. Rex Omollo expressed gratitude to the organisers and residents of Nairobi West for their continued support and trust in his leadership.
He dedicated the recognition to the people of Nairobi West, saying the award serves as motivation to continue championing development and service delivery in the ward.
The MCA has in recent years gained recognition for his grassroots mobilization efforts, youth empowerment initiatives, and advocacy on matters affecting residents within the constituency. His supporters described the award as a reflection of his commitment to transformative leadership and community engagement.

The Heroes Awards ceremony is aimed at celebrating individuals making a difference in society through leadership, innovation, public service, and community development.

PNU CONDEMNS KENYA KWANZA ’s MOVE TO WEAKEN FREE BASIC EDUCATION.

The Party of National Unity (PNU) has sharply criticized the Kenya Kwanza administration for slashing funding to free primary and secondary education in the 2025/26 national budget, warning that the move threatens to undo decades of progress and could become the regime’s political downfall. In a strongly worded statement released today, PNU condemned the government’s decision to reduce funding for Free Primary Education (FPE) from KES 9.1 billion to KES 7 billion, and Free Day Secondary Education from KES 61.9 billion to KES 51.9 billion.
