The Managing Director of MultiChoice Kenya, Nzola Miranda, emphasized the importance of backing Kenyan narratives and talent, highlighting the recent successes of local productions.

Several top local shows have garnered acclaim, including 'Kam U Stay' for Best TV Comedy, 'Zari' for Best TV Drama, and an episode of 'The Last Door' titled "The Death of a Kenyan Heiress," which won Best Documentary Feature. These accolades reflect the growing quality and appeal of Kenyan content.



Miranda highlighted the significant opportunity to bolster the local content ecosystem, leading to increased employment in the creative industry and greater consumption of homegrown content. Drawing inspiration from successful models in Nigeria and Tanzania, MultiChoice Kenya aims to elevate Kenyan productions to a global standard.
