Speaking at the launch, Managing Director Davis Mukuria emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, nature-inspired products tailored to modern African consumers. The ALO line includes Body Lotions, Shower Gels, Body Sprays, and Roll-Ons, formulated with premium ingredients to promote healthy skin.
A standout innovation in the ALO range is the goat milk-enriched body lotion, developed in partnership with over 500 Kenyan farmers. The lotion leverages natural lactic acid from goat milk to exfoliate and nourish the skin, aligning with the company’s sustainability agenda by supporting local agricultural value chains.

Tropikal Brands Afrika is also addressing growing consumer concerns about harmful chemicals in personal care products. The new range features Aluminum-Free Deodorants, offering 48-hour freshness while ensuring skin health.
“With ALO, we are not just introducing another personal care brand; we are redefining skincare by integrating locally sourced natural ingredients,” Mukuria said. “This launch underscores our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local economic empowerment.”
The personal care market in Kenya is experiencing steady growth, with Statista estimating it will reach $1.29 billion in 2024, driven by increasing demand for natural and organic products. The sector is projected to grow at an annual rate of 4.9% (2025-2030).
Tropikal Brands Afrika’s Head of Commercial, Simon Kabue, highlighted the company’s impact on job creation and local industry growth. “This journey wouldn’t be possible without the support of Kenyan farmers. Their high-quality ingredients have enabled us to develop superior formulations while fostering direct and indirect employment opportunities,” he said.
